What is a Homeowner Loan?
January 31, 2008
If you are a homeowner, it couldn’t be easier to apply for a Homeowner or Secured loan.
Secured loans - i.e. where your home is used as security against the loan - are suitable for when you are trying to raise a large amount; are having difficulty getting an unsecured loan; or, have a poor credit history. (Lenders are more flexible with their underwriting, making a secured loan possible when you may have been turned down for an unsecured loan).
Homeowner loans are also worth considering if you need extra money to spend on a new car, home improvements, or that holiday of a lifetime.
Benefits of Homeowner loans include lower monthly repayments than unsecured loans and the ability to borrow more money over a longer period of time.
Some lenders will offer flexible repayment terms allowing you to take payment holidays or pay the loan off early.
A Homeowner loan can be used for almost any purpose and includes:
Debt Consolidation
Home Improvements
Holidays
Car Purchase
Business Startup
Land Purchase
Holiday Home Purchase
Working Principle Of Swamp Coolers

Working Principle Of Swamp Coolers
by: Matthew Anderson
A swamp cooler, an earthen pot for cooling drinking water, cooling tower, and human skin, work on the same principle. The principle is evaporative cooling. Water is broken down into smaller droplets and air forced through it. Heat transfer takes place from water to air or air to water depending on the design of the equipment. In human skin, the heat is taken away from the body when sweat on surface of skin evaporates.
+ Construction Of Swamp Coolers
The swamp coolers consist of a box and a fan is situated inside the box. On the suction side of fan, there are pads. These pads are made of wood shavings or PVC. A small water pump directs water on top of the pads. The construction of pads is such that the incoming water is broken down into small water droplets and air going to suction of fan goes through these small droplets. So in essence, it is just a box with a pump and a fan & lot of pads for breaking water into smaller droplets. The construction might also include a distributor for air delivery so that the air is equally distributed in all areas of the room.
Vancouver, Hidden Jewel Of The Pacific Northwest
January 31, 2008
Vancouver will receive a lot of attention as the 2010 Olympics approach, but why wait to visit during the most crowded, tourist deluged period since they hosted Expo 86?
Skiing and winter sports will receive the lion’s share of attention during the 2010 Olympics - it is the Winter Olympics, after all - but summer is Vancouver’s best season.
After a fall and winter of grey skies and rainy days, Vancouver emerges to a summer of endless blue skies, gorgeous ocean views and warm but fairly dry climate. This is when you want to come to Vancouver!
There are 5 star hotels available on the waterfront in downtown Vancouver, but there are two great hostels, one just off the famous gay area of Davie Street - its maybe six blocks of the shopping area of Robson Street as well - or another across from Jericho beach, looking across at downtown Vancouver. Very well run, situated in spectacular spots, and cheap!

How to eat at Christmas and not feel guilty
by: Bill Nadraszky
Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite eating days of the year. Christmas dinner is now only a couple of days away in the US and the Turkeys and Hams have already been bought and are waiting to be eaten. This Christmas maybe you can be more careful about your eating and well being and I hope that looking at these tip will keep you feeling better the day after as you get to go on your post Christmas day shopping spree.
1. Decide what you are going to eat each day in the morning before you start. Think about 3 meals and 3 snacks. No one says you can’t have a snack, then dinner a while later and then desert a while after that.
2. Get some exercise right after you get out of bed. This will help you focus on your fitness and make you aware of how your body feels that day.
3. Drink lots of water throughout Christmas day starting in the morning. We all know how important it is to drink water and to stay hydrated. Also the Water will keep your body from feeling hungry throughout the day and let you feel a little fuller.
The Power of Candlelight
January 30, 2008
In this day and age, everything is about health and wellness. The products range from nutritional, mentoring/self growth and soy/veg candles. Yes, soy/veg candles because they’re virtually soot-free and natural waxes are used to create a healthier environment in the homes of candle lovers.
Let’s talk about the simple but powerful qualities that candles provide for enjoyment. The scent of a candle is what usually compels people to burn one in their home or office. Some of the fondest memories are conjured up through the sense of smell. For example, what memory comes to mind when you smell a hot apple pie scented candle? Some will say they think of Grandma baking a hot apple around the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday when they were younger. The scent Buttercream reminds me of the memorable weddings where the cake was too delicious to pass up and ditching the diet.
Another important aspect is the wide range of reasons to burn a candle. Many people talk about how it relaxes or enhances the mood. A small flame brings about a sense of serene tranquility and peacefulness to a room. Spas use them to help make their clients’ sessions more enjoyable. The different aromatherapy scents are used to enhance relaxation, clarity, energy and a sense of well being. The flame itself creates an ambiance in the room needed for proper meditation techniques.

Pool Table Lights Guide: How To Light Up Your Game
by: Richard Aubin
The proper pool table lights is critical to playing your best game of pool. The ideal pool table light fixture is attractive, unobtrusive, and provides just enough illumination without creating a glare. Choosing the right pool table lights for your home need not be difficult. Just keep a few points in mind.
The Best Pool Table Lights for the Job
The most effective pool table lights cover the entire length of the table. Measure your pool table before you start shopping. The majority of pool table lights fixtures available have multiple globes in order to direct several points of light at the table, usually two, three, or four globes. Multiple globes on your pool table lights fixture also help to eliminate any glare. Some fixtures contain multiple globes within one larger fixture.
Traditional vs. Contemporary Pool Table Lights
Pool table lights come in a wide variety of styles and finishes. Traditional, Victorian, Tiffany-style lights are popular pool table lights. These fixtures, modeled after designs by the famous glass artist, Louis Comfort Tiffany, are made of small panes of glass joined with lead piping. These colorful glass pieces are put together to form all manner of designs, logos, and slogans.
Tractors and Their History
January 30, 2008
I recently bought a small tractor for my garden, which prompted me to right this article.
The tractor was a John Deere, GT235. John Deere tractors are quite popular in the USA, so thought I would share a few words about the man himself!
John Deere was born in Rutland, Vermont in 1804. In 1837 he built the first steel plough, using steel from an old sawmill blade. By 1842 100’s of plows and by 1852, Deere & Co. were located in Moline, Illinois, who were producing 4000 ploughs per year. John Deere passed away in 1886 and the company was taken over by his son.
Tractors form a major part of any farm work throughout the world, Previously, this task would have been carried out by traditional horse and cart, but with the industrial revolution, and the advent of the modern engine, is now done by tractors.
In 1918 Deere & Co. acquired the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company and were instantly in the tractor business.
John Deere’s most popular tractor, the Model A, began production in 1934. This spawned a popular line of two-cylinder tractors including the B, G, L, LA, H, and M.
Homeowner Loans ? Drawing Lessons of the Past
January 30, 2008
Loans are not of a recent origin. People used to take help from others even at times when money was unseen and barter was the mode of trade prevalent. However, the form of loans has changed over time. In those days the loans used to be offered in kind. Now, they are offered in money or in terms of money.
However, the concern for the safety of the amount lent has not changed a bit. The most preferred loans are those which are offered with sufficient backing. The backing in most cases is of the house and property of the borrower. Thus, these are also known as loans for homeowners.
Loans for homeowners, as can be recollected from the above are loans which are offered to homeowners with home or property serving as a collateral. These accrue interest at a certain rate which is added to the principal amount. They are repayable through small instalments or any method desired by the borrowers.

10 Ways to Purchase the Wrong Bathroom Vanity
by: Bob Williams
The bathroom vanity is the sink-cabinet-mirror combination. It’s the showpiece of your bathroom. Here are ten things to avoid when choosing a vanity…you might be surprised.
You are redoing your bathroom and there are a zillion details. After getting lost in the practicalities, you stop for break. Something catches your attention. You take a careful look at the new mirror you’ve just installed. You notice that you’re looking straight at…your chin. You wonder if they delivered the wrong size. Then you remember that you were sitting in a chair at the showroom when you decided that this was your dream come true. Why didn’t you think to check if you could use it as well standing up?
Choosing the Floor Model’s Sizing.
Many, maybe most people choose style and design without considering height. Height is often a more important element of the vanity for daily use. The common 30 inch size bathroom counter is just not optimum for people over 63 inches tall. However, vanity size is not at all standard. Some floor models are even lower than the usual 30 inches which might be ignored in the quest for the perfect design. Such a decision means you may end up having to bend down to wash your hands. This is only poor planning and completely avoidable.
Organizing an Arson Watch Program
January 29, 2008
A wide variety of participants are needed to launch a successful Neighborhood Arson Mobile Watch program. In this section, necessary participants are listed, along with a description of the kind of support needed from each. As many of you know, implementing a community-based project requires the interest, cooperation, and support from many people. But it all is definitely worthwhile!
Increasing the safety of a neighborhood benefits everyone from children and parents, to local businesses. Not only does reducing arson activities in our area increase everyone’s quality of life, but it can also help increase property values. We are aiming for zero tolerance for arsons and quicker response from natural fires.
