Experts and Authority in the Home Warranty Industry
 by: Aaron Hoos

If you were going car shopping, would you prefer to be told what kind of car to own? What about how many seats it should have? Or the color? Or the size of the engine?

That’s exactly what’s going on in the home warranty industry. Every day, thousands of home owners just like yourself are being robbed of their choice and control over their home warranties. Home warranty providers are telling home owners what they should and should not have covered in their policies.

For example, some home warranty providers won’t cover air conditioners. Other home warranty providers will charge you for ceiling fan coverage whether you have ceiling fans or not!

Home warranty providers have taken the choice and control from their customers and are telling their customers what is best for them.

Met Home Warranty believes that it should be left up to the experts to decide what needs to be covered in your home. And who is the expert on your home? You, of course! Does your current home warranty provider think of you as the expert on your home? Probably not!

December 29, 2007

You can buy a home with a bad credit record; you just need to find the right mortgage financing package. Before you sign up with the first company that offers you a loan, remember to research offers to be assured you are getting a fair deal.

Know Your Credit Rating

Your credit score is one of the biggest factors in determining the points you will pay for your loan. People with scores between 620 and 800 have near perfect credit and will have the lowest rates and fees. Scores between 620 and 550 mean an interest rate or two higher. 600 is usually the cutoff point for 100% financing. Scores less than 550 mean mortgage interest rates are up to 5% higher with up to five points. Lenders will also require a down payment between 5% and 20%

You can find your score online along with your credit report. This is a good time to make sure all the information is correct on your record. Any discrepancies should be checked out and corrected before applying for a loan.

Worms are not only the gardener’s best friend, they are also the recycler’s new found best friend as well. Nature’s little waste disposal experts have found a new place in eco-conscious household’s across the globe as more and more people are catching on to the idea of using worms’ special talents to dispose of their organic household waste. If you have ever pondered on the idea or are in the least bit interested in giving your world environment a helping hand then you might like to delve a little deeper into the world of worms…

Uplink satellite dishes are directed toward the satellite that its signals will be transmitted to, and are very large, as much as 9 to 12 meters (30 to 40 feet) in diameter.

There are mainly two types of satellite TV systems: TVRO and DBS. TVRO system, aka Television Receive Only, is the first satellite system available for home satellite viewing system. While the DBS system, Direct Broadcast Satellite is available later. These two satellite systems work in different band (C-band and Ku-band) and their working system specifications are quite a different.

Luxurious Linen ? Surround Yourself With Sensual Texture

December 27, 2007

Luxurious linen has been used for centuries. Writers speak in poetic terms of the lovely sensual textures and styles of sheets that were once decadent and even sinful because they were so lush and beautiful. Luxury linens were so revered that one of the most important heirlooms a mother could give a daughter on her wedding day was linen that had been passed from one to another. Quality linen was the tie that bound the generations together. Most bedding and sheets were actually made of linen and not the cotton or blends we use today. This could only have been achieved because linen is so durable and beautiful that time will enhance its beauty.

Shower Tray and Shower Enclosure Installation
 by: Shelley Murphy

Making the decision to install an additional shower in your home takes some careful planning and the first consideration is where you plan to install the new shower unit.

If you are not using the existing space where the bath tub presently resides then the location of the new shower must facilitate the plumbing in order to leverage adequate water flow and waste, otherwise the project becomes two folded as new pipes will have to be installed and routed.

Selecting the right shower tray

Depending on available space and budget there are numerous shower enclosure and shower tray options to choose from. Shower trays come in an array of dimensions from square, rectangular and quadrant for corner units with coinciding shower enclosures to ensure conformity in the bathroom. Purchasing a shower tray made from acrylic filled with heavy weight stone cast resin is one of the best choices, since they are durable and quality produced these trays are free from shrinkage and cracking. Their practical design offers a skid resistance base and provides ample standing room when showering.

Sub-Prime Mortgage Loans - Things You Should Know About Sub-Prime Mortgages

December 27, 2007

Sub-prime mortgages are not that much different from average mortgages. They have interest rates, points, and fees. They can be compared online, and they have seasonal trends. The only real difference is that as a borrower with a less than stellar credit record, you will have to pay a slightly higher rate for the lender’s increased risk. What is important is that you prepare yourself with information about sub-prime mortgages and compare lending companies to make sure you get the best deal.

Paying For Risk

If you have bad credit or declared bankruptcy, a mortgage lender is taking a big risk that you will pay back the loan. People with bad credit are seven times more likely to default on loans, so lenders make up for this loss with higher interest rates and fees. However, some companies take advantage of people with poor credit, so you should compare companies.

Look Online

You don’t have to meet with a lender face to face to negotiate a mortgage loan. You can go online and compare financing packages from multiple bidders by supplying some personal information. Rates and fees are different between lending companies, so it pays to shop.

Entrepreneurial Holiday Guilt for Creative Professionals
 by: Kirstin Carey

Guilt, guilt, guilt. Guilt is a terrible feeling and is often self-inflicted by creative entrepreneurs, especially during the holidays.

Most people who work for themselves say they chose to do so because they wanted to “control their time.” People who value time over money, recognize that time is a precious commodity that cannot be created, bought, or borrowed. You have to use it wisely or else it is gone.

Having the luxury to control how, with whom, and where you spend your time is one of the bonuses of working for yourself. So, why is it that an overwhelming number of female entrepreneurs also say they feel guilty when they are not working on their businesses or with a client between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm?

To be truly happy and successful as an entrepreneur, you must break the corporate-created walls of time and learn how to set your day according to your needs and the needs of your clients. There is no law chaining you to your desk eight hours a day between 9 am and 5 pm.
